Been busy the last few weeks making a few items. The cat and train are etched and painted into the 8x10" frame glass and the Torana SLR 5000 is etched into the tile glazing with a rustic repurposed pallet frame.

I made this for a friend of mine as they are building an outdoor kitchen in their new veranda area. I thought it would be nice to make something to put in it as they look after us very well when we stay there. This a white tile etched with the design and framed with repurposed pallet timbers. The etching is burnt into the clear glazing and will not rub off.

Been working on a couple of things for my brother and his driving mate. They are retiring soon after 30years of driving trains together so I made them a etching of the Ghan in a A4 photo frame. This is etched into the glass and painted on the back side. I also engraved the same design onto a couple of beer glasses so they can have a few beers together when retired.

My brother and sister-in-law were going through a very stressful time with our father gravely ill in hospital. To add to this stress their dog of 16 years had to be put to sleep. A very sad and heartfelt day. I decided I would laser a memorial plaque to remember her. This is a 200mm x 200mm gloss white tile permanently etched into the tile. I will be mounting the tile into a rustic frame made from recycled pallet wood. I will add the result when completed. The white mark over her ear is a ray light as the sun went down. She was a ray of sunshine.

Just another etching in MDF melamine to test out the settings. This has been oiled to prevent water damage and should be regularly reoiled to prevent damage. Use a vegetable oil. The quality of the etching is dependant on the quality of the photo. These are done on building materials and the quality of the etching may vary. Size 95x95mm.
