🏉 Monto SHS Touch Team Grand Final – What a Game! 🏉

On Friday night, eleven of our senior students, along with Mr McCabe, competed in the A Grade Men's Grand Final of the Biloela Touch Tournament. The team played an outstanding game but went down 6–3 in a hard-fought contest.

We’re so proud of the team’s growth and effort this season, and this tournament has been great preparation for the upcoming Wide Bay All Schools and Gold Coast All Schools Touch Football tournaments.

A huge thank you to Mr McCabe for his dedication and to the parents who travelled to Biloela each week to support the students and make their participation possible.

Well done, team – you’ve done MSHS proud!

🌟 Congratulations, Juliette! 🌟

On Tuesday, Juliette had the incredible opportunity to attend the Destination Doctor program at CQ University in Bundaberg.

This amazing event is designed for Year 10 students with a passion for medicine and an interest in exploring careers in rural health. Through the Regional Medical Pathway, Juliette participated in a series of immersive clinical skills sessions led by experienced academics, clinicians, and health professionals.
During the program, Juliette gained hands-on experience in clinical workshops, including:
🩸 Blood typing
🪡 Suturing
🏥 Patient simulations
💓 Vital signs assessment
She also connected with medical staff and current students to gain invaluable insights into the Regional Medical Pathway program.

We are so proud of you, Juliette, and can’t wait to see where this exciting journey takes you!
