Respect in the classroom helps create a safe and productive space where every student can do their best and every teacher can teach effectively. This means listening, following instructions, being prepared, and showing consideration for others at all times.

🌟Year 11 Roadcraft Program🌟

Today and tomorrow, our Year 11 students are taking part in the Roadcraft program, gaining valuable knowledge and practical skills to help them become safer, more responsible drivers.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about road safety, develop their decision-making skills, and understand the importance of making safe choices on the road.

🏉 All Schools Touch Football – DAY 2 🏉

Our Monto State High School boys have wrapped up their first Gold Coast All Schools Touch Football Championships!

The boys faced some tough competition but never gave up! They worked tirelessly in defence, showed great teamwork and continued to support one another right until the final whistle. Their determination, effort and sportsmanship were fantastic to see! 👏

Although they didn’t progress through their pool into the semi-finals, the boys should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. They have competed with determination, gained valuable experience and represented Monto SHS and our community with pride. They have grown as a team and shown plenty of promise for the future!

A huge thank you to Mr McCabe for the time, effort and dedication he has put into preparing and supporting the boys in the lead-up to the carnival and throughout the competition.

We would also like to extend our thanks to all the parents and families who made the trip from Monto to support and cheer on the boys.

We also greatly appreciate the support of our wonderful community. The support and generosity of our community help make opportunities like this possible for our students, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who helps our young people experience opportunities beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to the boys on a fantastic first All Schools experience! You have represented Monto with pride, shown great determination and teamwork, and given it your all. Hold your heads high, boys — you’ve done Monto proud! 👏
