There is a large fire in the Otways area which is producing a significant amount of smoke across the Peninsula. Whilst intentions are good, it is important to only call Triple Zero if you can SEE flames or a defined column of smoke. Our crews must be available to respond to genuine emergencies.

Earlier this week our Ultra Heavy tanker and crew were deployed as part of strike team 0891 to areas around Alexandra as part of the ongoing fire fighting effort at the Longwood fire. 🚒

Crews have been rotating throughout the week on 2-3 day deployments to assist with the fires. 🔥

They have been busy alongside other members and resources from Westernport Fire Brigades Group - CFA in establishing containment lines, blacking out, helping residents and much more. 👨🏻‍🚒

Crews and our Ultra Heavy are now safely home and ready for the next call 💪🏼
