✨ Moorook CFS Recognition Night ✨

We recently held our annual brigade recognition night.
What an incredible night we had celebrating our amazing volunteers and supporters! 💛🔥

A huge thank you to our Chaffey Group Officers – Bruce, Adrian, Jack and Aaron – and our Region 3 Commander Shane Clinch for joining us and for their continued support of our brigade.

We’re so grateful to our local supporters, including the Moorook & District Club, Kingston Estate Wines and All Out Auto, whose generosity helps us run this event each year. 🙌

🎖️ Brigade Awards 🎖️
✨ Cadet of the Year – for the first time ever it was a draw! Congratulations Riley and Jett for your dedication and hard work.
✨ Cadet Graduate – Congratulations to Crystal on graduating out of the cadet program and to taking the next steps in becoming a brigade Firefighter.
✨ 50 Years of Service – A very special congratulations to Angie on an incredible milestone, presented by Region 3 Commander Clinch. 👏👏
✨ Villis Firefighter of the Year – Well done Aaron on this well-deserved recognition!

We also had plenty of fun with some fantastic raffle prizes, good laughs, and a great community spirit. The night was a blast and a reminder of how lucky we are to have such a dedicated team and supportive community. ❤️💛

Thank you to everyone who makes Moorook CFS what it is – together, we are stronger.

Check out our Amazing Cadets and their recent achievement!
We sent a team to the Region 3 Cadet Championships this year and it was an absolute blast.
The Moorook crew coming home with 1st place in Draughting shows the many trainings down at the river have paid off and at this point they run those punps just as well as any firefighter so they can nearly do it with there eyes closed.
As a whole we can all be proud of not only their efforts and times in all of the events on the day, but also to how they represented our brigade and community as well!

A massive thankyou to the members and cadets of our neighbouring Barmera Country Fire Service brigade for helping get us prepared and putting the boys through their paces in the lead up.

Thanks also goes to the organisers of thee event and the parents who were able to make it down to support our next batch of volunteers. The support is greatly appreciated.

🔥Dangerous fire weather conditions are forecast for most of South Australia this Saturday.🔥

The recent Wilmington fire serves as a reminder of how rapidly fires can spread in our current dry landscape so it's critical to avoid ANY risky activity outdoors that could start a fire, including using spark-producing tools, driving in long dry grass, and improperly discarded ci******es.

Your safety, and the safety of your community, is a shared responsibility so please take these steps now to ensure you’re prepared:

✅CHECK the Fire Danger Rating after 5pm today to understand the risk for Saturday and to know if Total Fire Bans are declared in your district: https://ow.ly/Ri8c50V3WVA

✅UNDERSTAND restrictions that apply during the Fire Danger Season and on Total Fire Ban Days: https://ow.ly/shei50V3WVz

✅MAKE sure you have a bushfire survival plan and are prepared to enact it: https://ow.ly/UktY50V3WVC

✅KNOW how to stay informed using multiple sources: https://ow.ly/g6Y450V3WVF
