Today is Smoke Alarm Action Day, and CFA is joining fire agencies across Australia to ask everyone to check their smoke alarms.

On Sunday our members got the chance to go down to VEMTC Bangholme for live fire training.
This is a great opportunity to put their skills to the test and to continue to develop their skills as firefighters in a controlled environment.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.

PLANNED BURN TODAY – OWL LAND RESERVE, MT EVELYN

Our members will be helping Mt Evelyn crews, with a planned burn at Owl Land Reserve.

Smoke will be visible in the area.

This is a controlled burn under suitable conditions, with crews monitoring at all times. There is no cause for alarm.

If you have respiratory conditions, please follow your health plan.

We appreciate your understanding while this important work is carried out.

Please be advised there is currently a large fuel reduction burn happening on Trig Track Mt Dandenong. Wind may bring the smoke into the Mooroolbark area.

Our firefighters will be down at Bunnings Croydon today cooking up a storm raising money to purchase life saving equipment. If you are over chocolate and feel like a sausage, pop down and grab one from us.

We will be joining all the other CFA (Country Fire Authority) brigades around the state on Good Friday rattling our tins to help raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.
We will be collecting at the set of lights at each end of Brice Ave.
If could spare some small change, every little bit counts.
