First Winter weekend for 2026!
Though it’s actually looking pretty good with sunny skies and pretty good temps (4 low & 22 max Sat and 6 low and 24 max Sun).
We have the Wonderland Fun Fest carnival in town until tomorrow night, and raffles at the Moranbah Community Workers Club tonight, with Binda Park parkrun bright and early Saturday morning.
There will also be Hazard Reduction Burns happening behind Grosvenor Drive Saturday and Sunday-weather permitting.
Isaac Regional Council have our local Firies doing this important work, your job is to pay attention to the marked areas on the map, be prepared for smoke, and keep an eye out for snakes, deer and other wildlife that may be on the move.
We also have our Moranbah Miners Junior Rugby League taking on Magpies down at their home field, and across town Moranbah Bulls Rugby Union Club are also playing at home and celebrating their Family Day.
Out on Sarchedon Drive you’ll notice the frocks and suits out as the Moranbah Race Club, Treasure Park Winter Race Day takes place.
Saturday night, grab a feed and get a ticket in the meat tray raffles at the Moranbah Miners Rugby League Club.
Sunday morning we have the Moranbah Love Me Again market at the Moranbah Arts building where you can grab your self a designer bargain or 2, and then as Sunday wears on, we have the 250 Club draw at the Moranbah Miners Rugby League Club, so if you haven’t got a ticket in this great fundraiser yet, be sure you do some before Sunday (best bet is to try the Footy Club or the Workers Club)!!!
Next week 4RFM are on Road Safety Week prep, attending our local schools and grabbing some pics for an exciting project!

A steady weekend in the 'Bah for the last one in May!
Tonight you can start things off with a great feed and a chance at some great raffle prizes with the Moranbah Community Workers Club, and wake up nice an dearly for a crisp 5k with Binda Park parkrun!
Once your home don't forget Saturday is your last chance for Early Bird registration for the The Stonka Fishing Challenge Inc. ! Keep an ear out on 4RFM in the next few weeks as we have teamed up with the Stonka crew and have some great prizes up for grabs!
Saturday night there are fantastic meat trays up for grabs at the Moranbah Miners Rugby League Club, then it's up early again Sunday for a Bacon and Egg burger and a browse at the Moranbah Freemasons Markets!
Also happening Sunday morning is the Pink Out 4 Cancer Inc 5k fun run/walk, please note the change in location a this event is now happening at Binda Park!
Also Sunday, our Werewolves are lucky enough to get a second crack this month with a Blue Moon on the cards!!

Quick reminder that tomorrow is the Clermont Show People’s Day, which is a public holiday!
For those not headed over to the show, or those who are back in the Bah by 4.30, Anglo American have some pretty special guests headed to the the Moranbah Miners Rugby League Club!
Phins Up Moranbah!!!

Also plenty of local establishments screening the Origin tomorrow night!

Far out, how great was Under 8's Day?! What a great kickstart to the weekend!
We have a footy heavy Saturday, but let's start with Friday night raffles at the Moranbah Community Workers Club, and follow it up with an early morning jog with Binda Park parkrun, Saturday morning 7am! There will also be junior Tennis Coaching down at Moranbah Tennis all weekend, great opportunity to get your little ones skilled up!
And drumroll please for the stellar footy line up!!
We have our Moranbah Bulldogs AFC hosting a Sponsors Day, with great perks for 2026 sponsors, as well as junior and senior games all day! They will then be celebrating into the evening with Jam N' Butter - Teen Rock Band!
Down at the Darryl Bourke Oval we have our only Super Saturday of the year with the Moranbah Miners Junior Rugby League and Moranbah Miners Rugby League Club hitting the fields in a huge day against Wests!
This will be followed by everyone's favourite DJ, DJ Moses spinning the decks well into the night!
If sports isn't your thing but you love a good tune, Moranbah Arts are hosting Profanity Fair Saturday night, an all ages event will will have the windows rattling and toes tapping!
For those artistically inclined, Sunday the Coalface Gallery at Isaac Regional Council will be holding the first of 3 workshops aimed at emerging artists, this one looking at how to turn creative ideas into art projects and exhibitions.
We also have Moranbah Bowls Club hosting their Pool Comp Saturday night, and their AGM Sunday!
Lots to choose from folks! So be sure to get to something if you can!

It’s here!!!
Under 8’s Day!
The greatest day of the year for our little people, there’s fruit, dancing, books, sports, crafts and activities galore (& hot coffee available for us older folks)! And 4RFM are stoked to be there once again with the tunes! I feel today’s playlist will be quite Disney heavy!

Be sure to bring your Under 8’s along! This event is for the whole U8 community!
