Three of our bands proudly represented JFSC at the Contemporary Band Fest, delivering outstanding performances on stage.

Our Junior Band, led by Mr Thompson, wowed the crowd, with Bella Stobie absolutely bringing the house down with her powerful vocals in Bring Me to Life.

The Senior Band was equally impressive, showcasing tight musicianship, confidence, and stage presence well beyond their years. They even added Freak to their set at the last minute, and the crowd loved every moment!

We are incredibly proud of all our musicians for their hard work, talent, and dedication. Well done!

What an incredible two nights of Dance Showcase - ICON.

Our talented dancers captivated JFSC families with performances across a range of styles, including Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical. Their hard work, dedication and passion were evident in every routine, making for a truly memorable showcase.

The final performances were especially emotional as our graduating Dance students took to the stage together one last time. It has been a privilege to watch their confidence, technique and artistry grow throughout their time at JFSC, and we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

A heartfelt thank you to our staff and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Performances like this simply couldn't happen without your commitment and support.

Congratulations to all our dancers on a fantastic showcase and thank you for sharing your talent with our school community.

Students and staff have done an amazing job dressing up for the final day of Book Week. During book week, students worked in teams, combined creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to write an original book in just one day.

Beyond the challenge itself, Write a Book in a Day also supports childhood cancer research and provides books to children in hospitals across Australia, giving students the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while showcasing their creativity.

Would you eat insects for lunch? Our Year 9 Geography students took on this challenge while learning about food security and sustainable food production. As they explored ways to feed a growing global population, students had the chance to sample edible insects and consider whether they could become part of our future diets.

There were plenty of brave faces, mixed reactions, and lots of laughter as students stepped outside their comfort zones in this hands-on learning experience!

Tomorrow we proudly present ICON 2026, our spectacular Dance Showcase celebrating iconic music, incredible talent, and the power of performance.

A group of Year 7 students visited the WA Museum Boola Bardip to participate in the Debating Ancient History: Aboriginal Australia workshop.

Students consolidated their understanding of how archaeologists and Aboriginal Elders can work together to deepen our knowledge of Australia’s ancient past. They also explored important ethical considerations surrounding ancient artefacts and cultural heritage.

To top off a fantastic day, students were fortunate enough to explore the Ocean X special exhibition, learning more about the importance of protecting our oceans and marine environments.

A wonderful day of learning, curiosity, and connecting classroom knowledge with real-world experiences!

We are so excited to present two incredible nights of talent, as our JFSC dancers take to the stage for this year's Dance Showcase, ICON. Opening on Thursday evening, 27 August and closing on Friday 28 August, with our Year 12 Dance Graduation.

We are very pleased to announce that Year 12s Mia and Tayla will be performing a duet, which was recently awarded first place at the Schools to Stage dance competition in the Year 12 Small Group choreography.
