Main Street Mornington Festival

Main Street Mornington Festival Northern Mornington Peninsula Tourism Inc has been producing this event for 26 years.

The Main Street Mornington Festival is a family friendly event that is held on the third Sunday each October from 11am to 5pm, and it is free to enter. The Festival has become an iconic event on the Mornington Peninsula, celebrating the best of the peninsula’s gourmet produce, boutique wineries, artists, musicians, dance troupes, singer songwriters, and performers.

We have some disappointing news to share.

Unfortunately, the Main Street Mornington Festival will not be going ahead in 2026. Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to secure the level of funding needed to cover operational costs to make the event financially viable. Our funding comes from multiple sources, through government grants and sponsorship provided by businesses.

We know our Festival is something many businesses, artists, performers, and people in our community look forward to each year, and we're incredibly grateful for the ongoing support, enthusiasm, and encouragement we've received.

We will continue to review opportunities for the future and will provide further updates as they become available.

*In response to all the comments received, we appreciate your feedback (please be mindful to keep all comments civil). We will take all feedback on board but please note we won't be replying individually.

**Please note the Mornington Peninsula Shire is not our sole source of funding, and they continue to offer some funding through their Sponsorship Program. Our decision to cancel is based on the overall funding secured from all sources, not solely the Shire's contribution.

The NMPT Festival committee would sadly like to let everyone know the 2025 Mornington Festival won't be going ahead in October.
The Festival relies on funding from the Shire and Sponsors that we have struggled to confirm for this year.
The Festival is purely run by volunteers and we need more.
We are planning a meeting in August to start the groundwork for 2026 so if you have the time and energy and honestly feel you can assist in anyway please DM us so we can have a chat.
We all look forward to next year's Festival and as a committee we are sorry we are not able to make 2025 happen.

What a day! . A big thank you to the festival crew that was constantly working throughout the day. They started at 530 and the last remaining left at 830. Α special Thank you to everyone that helped set up , found pover sources , move stalls around , deliver ice , managed Traffic .
