🌿 Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day! 🌿

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful Preschool team — Hollie, Kristy, Erina, Rachel H and Tamika. 💛

Every day, they work incredibly hard to create a warm and welcoming Preschool where strong relationships with children and families are at the heart of everything they do.

Through play, exploration and meaningful experiences, they create an environment where children are encouraged to be curious, build confidence and develop a genuine love of learning. It’s a place where the magic of childhood is celebrated, while children are supported to develop the skills, knowledge and foundations that will carry them into school and beyond.

We are so grateful for the care, patience, creativity and dedication our Preschool educators bring each day, and for the important role they play in giving our youngest learners such a positive beginning to their learning journey.

🌱 **Growing, learning and connecting with our environment** 🌱

Our friends from **Greenhill Living** are regular visitors at Morphett Vale Primary School, giving our students plenty of opportunities to get their hands dirty and learn through gardening! 🪴🌿

These sessions are about so much more than planting and growing. They give our children opportunities to connect with the natural environment, learn where food comes from, develop practical skills and experience the satisfaction of caring for something and watching it grow. 💚

At Morphett Vale Primary School, we value learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Whether it’s in our gardens, through nature-based learning or alongside members of our wider community, we want our students to feel connected to the world around them.

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026 | SYMPHONY OF STORIES ✨📚

What a wonderful week celebrating the magic of books, reading and storytelling!

This year’s Children’s Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories,” was certainly brought to life at MVPS, with our school filled with characters from stories old and new. 🎶📖

On Tuesday, we held our much-loved Book Week Parade, and we were blown away by the number of children who dressed up and the incredible creativity and effort that went into their costumes. A huge thank you to our families for helping make the day so special! ❤️

Each class had their moment to parade their costumes for the school before it was time for our staff to take the stage — and they certainly didn’t disappoint! Thankyou to Michelle who helped put the assembly together and Colleen for all her hard work getting us book week ready.

One of the highlights had to be Ms Mathews as Snow White, accompanied by her very own dwarfs — Mr Mitchell, Mr Plush, Mr Miller and Mr Reiter. 🍎😂

Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped us celebrate another fantastic Book Week. Seeing our children so excited to share their favourite characters and stories is what makes this week such a special one on our school calendar.

💙 Celebrating our incredible SSOs – SSO Week 2026 💙
This week, I want to take a moment to recognise and sincerely thank the amazing School Support Officers at Morphett Vale Primary School.
Our SSOs are such an important part of the heart of our school. Every day, they bring patience, care, compassion and commitment to the children and students of our preschool and school.
They build strong relationships with our children and students, recognise and celebrate their progress, support them through challenging moments, and help create an environment where every child/student feels supported, included and able to engage in their learning.
I see every day how much our SSOs give to their roles. They are flexible, patient and willing to step in wherever they are needed.
I am very proud of the SSO team we have at Morphett Vale Primary School and appreciate the way they support each other, our staff and, most importantly, our students.
Thank you for everything you bring to our school each day. I hope you know how much you are appreciated.

🌟 **WAKAKIRRI 2026** 🌟

What a night! 🎭✨

Last night, our incredible students took to the Wakakirri stage alongside five other schools — and we could not be prouder of them.

It was a **huge** day, with our students and staff leaving school at 11am and not finishing until after 9pm. Yet through every rehearsal, backstage hustle, nervous moment and long hour, our children were simply outstanding. Their dedication, resilience and commitment to bringing their story to life was inspiring.

And bring it to life they did! ❤️ The crowd roared as our students made us laugh, captivated us with their performance and, for some of us, even brought a few tears. Watching them tell their story with such confidence, energy and heart was something very special.

None of this would be possible without our wonderful **Miss Michelle**. The countless hours, energy and love she pours into Wakakirri are extraordinary. She has an incredible ability to not only believe in what our children are capable of, but to help **them believe it too**. We are incredibly fortunate to have her creating opportunities like this for our learners to shine. 💫

A huge thank you also to **Mr Plush, Mrs Mathews, our staff and our wonderful family volunteers** who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the day possible. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.

We are enormously proud of our children, our staff and everything our little school continues to achieve together. 💛

Now we wait to see where this Wakakirri journey takes us next…
