Stumped for words!

Tom Perrott Reserve has brand new cricket nets, giving our community a safer, enclosed space to practise batting. With the weather warming up, it's the perfect time to grab some mates and get a game going.

🚧 Important: McCabe Street traffic changes

If you’re travelling along McCabe Street next week, please be aware of two projects taking place at the same time.

🔴 Full road closure | 31 August–2 September

McCabe Street at 15 McCabe Street, Fremantle will be fully closed between 9am and 3pm from Monday 31 August to Wednesday 2 September.

The closure is required while Urban Road Boring WA, on behalf of the Water Corporation, undertakes boring works for a tunnel beneath McCabe Street.

The works have been scheduled outside peak traffic periods, but delays and detours are expected. Please allow extra time for your journey and follow traffic management directions.

🟠 Sewer works | Continuing until mid-September

Sewer works are also continuing along McCabe Street between Hayes Terrace and Palmerston Street, Monday to Saturday, 7am–6pm.

These works will upgrade the local wastewater network and support the broader redevelopment planned for the Rocky Bay site.

During the works, there may be temporary lane closures, increased noise, dust and vibration, with traffic management in place.

We appreciate your patience while these important works are underway.

Questions about the sewer works:
Anastasia Puia, Civcon – 0434 124 892 | [email protected]

Questions about the Water Corporation works:
Jeff Carlisle, Project Manager – 0408 607 859

We are saddened to share the passing of former Mayor Alf Snell OAM, a man whose connection to Mosman Park spanned a lifetime.

Alf first came to Mosman Park as a small boy, growing up in Fairlight Street before his family moved to Rhodes Place in around 1939. Decades later, he returned to that very same house - going on to serve as Councillor, Deputy Mayor, and then Mayor between 2001 and 2007.

Alf's service to our community was formally recognised with an Order of Australia, and he also served as President of the Mosman Park RSL.

Though life later took him to Buckland, Seville Grove and Mandurah, Mosman Park always remained his true home.

Our sincere condolences to Alf's family, friends and all who knew him.
