Bring: water, hat, enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and whatever makes you feel like a gardening legend.

New project from and for Douglas Shire garden enthusiasts and interesting for everyone liking community events

An exciting event is on the horizon in Douglas Shire for all those passionate about sustainable food cultivation, community engagement and learning. Circle Of Plenty will be a food garden art project situated at mossman botanic garden, initiated by local garden enthusiasts and supported by local community organisations and garden clubs. The event will be on the 22nd November, 2023. Look forward to a day filled with planting, educational talks, community lunch and the joy of bringing this edible art project to life. We invite you to get involved in this local Mossman community art project. There are lots of ways you can be part of this, from assisting in site preparation, to event day assistance. From monetary donations to assistance with equipment. Contact us for more information.

Wow, what a weekend that was. I am still in awe to realise how much people loved to come and have a sticky beak into our Shire's lovely gardens that opened for a few short hours. Also was it a pleasure to see how gardeners glowed on their tours through their own yard - appreciating it through the eyes of the visitors - in a very different light. Enjoy the review.
