💙 Outreach services are external health and wellbeing providers who visit our centre to offer appointments and specialist support locally — making it easier for our community to access help close to home.

What an honour it was to host last week’s Neighbourhood Centres Queensland meeting here in Mossman. The gathering provided an opportunity for CEOs and managers to step away from the day-to-day and engage in meaningful discussions around governance, leadership, and the future of community services.

Community Development Officers also had the chance to collaborate, share ideas, and explore program partnerships and funding opportunities that strengthen outcomes for our communities.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Mossman and contributed to such a valuable and inspiring few days of connection and collaboration.

🎶 The boys have been busy entertaining crowds at Under 8’s Day events across the Shire, alongside our amazing volunteers rocking the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword costumes! 🦖🏴‍☠️

We absolutely love seeing the Giggles Band out and about doing what they love most — performing, connecting with community and bringing smiles to children and families everywhere. This group has come such a long way and we couldn’t be prouder of their effort and growth. 💜

If you enjoy seeing the Giggles play at your school or community events, why not consider making a small donation to support the band? With rising fuel costs and musical equipment needing regular servicing — often in Cairns or further away — every contribution helps keep the music going.

Even $50 goes a long way towards helping maintain equipment and supporting future performances. 🎸🥁🎤

As part of our volunteer week celebrations, we would like to say a huge thank you to Jo and Billie Noli for the beautiful donation of Heliconia flowers that brightened our centre.

The volunteers absolutely loved the special flowers.

We are so grateful for the kindness, generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved. 💜🧡💚

Today Audrey and Kerrie are serving up some awesome homemade Ratatouille with Rice & Chicken, followed by Michelle’s special chocolate brownie for dessert 🍫💜

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible volunteers who help make our community stronger every day.
