🔥 Hazard Reduction 🔥

This Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August crews from NSW RFS will be undertaking a hazard reduction burn in the Flametree Close, Taree area.

Residents in the area may see and/or smell smoke. Anyone with asthma or other respiratory conditions is advised to avoid the area and remain indoors with windows closed.

Planning a burn on your property? 🚨🔥

You are required to notify NSW RFS and your neighbours 24hrs before you light up. Recent days and weeks have seen multiple burns escape, putting properties and lives at risk right across the mid coast.

Do the right thing — notify before you burn

Don’t be the fire risk in your community.

31 March, marks the end of the statutory Bush Fire Danger Period (BFDP) for the majority of NSW including Mid Coast and Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.

While many landholders may no longer require a fire permit, you are still required to notify the RFS and your neighbours of your intention to burn at least 24 hours before lighting the fire.

Kundle Moto Brigade is proud to have just received delivery of our brand new Cat 1 purpose-designed firetruck. We’re very grateful to the RFS for looking after us and our district in such an effective and meaningful way.

With a much bigger water tank plus a plethora of impressive state-of-the-art technologies, we’re ready to provide our district with the best firefighting capabilities they’ve ever had.

In fact we’ve just put the truck through its paces on its first ever callout.

Watch for us out and about in the area – you certainly won’t be able to miss us!

Today we offer our sincere condolences to the family and colleagues of the NSW National Parks firefighter, who tragically lost his life protecting others at the Bulahdelah fire yesterday. May you rest in peace 🕊️.
