REFRESHED and READY!
Last Saturday members of the brigade spent their day refreshing and re-qualifying in
Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy (HLTAID015).

This qualification gives our members the necessary skills to perform advanced life-saving tasks when responding to emergency situations such as structural fires, road accident rescues, and vertical rope rescues.

Thank you to Brad from Healthcorp. for coming out for the day to help members further their skills and knowledge.

Good Friday Tomorrow!
Tomorrow, from 8am onwards, Mount Beauty CFA will be down by Mount Beauty Service Centre, on the main road. Collecting money for the Good Friday Appeal, which will raise funds for the Royal Childrens Hospital.
And YES they will have Eftpos transactions available.

Alongside this, volunteers from Mount Beauty, Tawonga brigades as well as other community groups will be coming to the doorsteps of Mount Beauty and Tawonga rattling tins for donations as well!

It is a great cause to get behind and your donations (big and small) are greatly appreciated!

The Fire Danger Period for Alpine Shire will end at 1am on Tuesday 7th April 2026, as advised by Country Fire Authority.

As always, if you’re planning a burn-off, just remember to follow local guidelines, notify neighbours, and register your burn.

As a business that’s all about community spirit, this is our way to say cheers.

How it works:
Buy a pot / schooner / pint of the Gold Winning Pale Ale on the day, and every cent from that beer until the keg is drained will be donated to Mount Beauty CFA + Tawonga CFA.

🚨Update 🚨
The Walwa fire is now a campaign fire, meaning it will be a prolonged event. It's likely our area will be on alert for some time until the fire is fully contained, which is dependent on weather conditions.

We're working with Tawonga and Falls Creek brigades to provide crews to the Walwa fire. While still being able to support our local area.

Key actions everyone should take:
✅ Continue monitoring the Vic Emergency app (or access the website/local radio) and follow the official advice.
✅ Review your fire plan so you know what you will do if the alert level does increase.
✅ Ensure properties are fire ready

There is currently no threat to our community, but you should continue to stay informed. 13/01/26
