National Science Week: Decoding the Bay – Uncovering the Hidden Language of Marine Ecosystems

Date: Tuesday 12th August
Duration: 40 minutes (time confirmed on booking)
Year level: 5/6
Expressions of Interest: emailed to [email protected], by Friday 8th August.

Join Parks Victoria and Earth Ed for an interactive Science Week webinar that invites students to explore the hidden language of Port Phillip Bay. While we think we understand marine ecosystems, the truth is nature still holds many mysteries.

In this webinar, students will journey into the world of kelp forests, shifting sea urchin populations, and the cascading changes taking place beneath the surface. By decoding nature’s clues, we not only uncover what’s happening in our ecosystems, but also how we can be part of restoring and protecting them for the future.
