The offender was placed under arrest and charged with:
• Supply prohibited drug > indictable & < commercial quantity – T1

Today, Mount Druitt Police had some extra helping hands on shift, with Constable Jarrod and Constable Steven ready to lend a hand around the station.

Constable Jarrod has always dreamed of becoming a police officer, and today that dream came a little closer to reality thanks to a special surprise organised by Mount Druitt Police and his mum.

Both officers were kitted out in uniform, enjoyed a station tour, jumped in a highway patrol vehicle for a ride-along, and had a great time meeting the team.

Mount Druitt Police were back at Cobham Juvenile Justice Centre last week for another round of the Cobham Warriors program!

For seven years, this program has brought together police, Juvenile Justice staff, and the boys inside Cobham for four months of weekly Oztag games and positive connection.

The boys took the win this year, but Mount Druitt officers are already gearing up for a comeback next season.

Thanks Police Association of NSW for the on-going support!

The offender remained inside the property for some time before exiting through the rear and jumping the back fence.

About 9:00pm on Thursday 21 May 2026, police were patrolling Bougainville Road, Lethbridge Park when they observed a silver Holden Commodore travelling in the opposite direction displaying altered number plates.

Police activated their lights and sirens; however, the male driver, from a Quakers Hill address, failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued for some time, with the driver refusing to stop. While travelling along Rooty Hill Road North, police observed one tyre detach from the rim, with the front tyre also barely remaining on its rim.

Despite the damage, the driver continued along Rooty Hill Road North at approximately 50km/h in a signposted 50km/h zone, before turning right onto North Parade, Rooty Hill, where he continued at similar speed. At this stage, the rear rim had significantly deteriorated, causing the vehicle to slow.

The driver then entered the loading dock area of Kmart, Mount Druitt, off North Parade, where the vehicle came to a stop. The driver and front passenger were removed from the vehicle and arrested.

A search of the driver located approximately 1.12 grams of methamphetamine.

The driver was conveyed to Mount Druitt Police Station and charged with:
• Never licensed person drive vehicle on road (prior offence)
• Use Class A vehicle displaying altered number plate
• Police pursuit – fail to stop – drive recklessly (2nd+ offence)
• Possess prohibited drug

He was refused bail and the matter is now before the court.
