Last week, a number of our active members enjoyed a round of social bowls at Mount Gambier Bowls Club ahead of our AGM.

There were plenty of laughs, some friendly competition, and a chance for members to catch up in a relaxed setting. This was then followed by a BBQ dinner before the more formal part of the evening, the Branch and SEC AGM.

Thank you to everyone who attended, we look forward to more social events like this throughout the year!

The Mount Gambier Liberal Party Branch was delighted to welcome Nicola Centofanti MLC and Ashton Hurn MP to Mount Gambier for Politics in the Pub last night.

It was fantastic to hear how focused the SA Liberal Party is on the future of the Limestone Coast and regional South Australia. With Ashton’s leadership, we are confident that she will ensure our regional voices are still heard in Adelaide and that the issues affecting our local communities remain front and centre.

We thank both Nicola and Ashton for taking the time to visit our region, meet with locals and continue advocating for stronger outcomes for regional South Australia.

It was wonderful to see so many people from the Mount Gambier community gather at this morning’s Dawn Service to honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all those who have served our nation.

On ANZAC Day, we remember those who defended the freedoms and democratic values Australians hold dear, and reflect on the enduring spirit of mateship, courage and resilience that continues to shape our nation.

Lest we forget.

Thank you to our members who attended on such short notice, and to those who sent their apologies. We missed getting a photo of the full group, as everyone was busy enjoying the food, drinks and catching up.

As a branch we really do value these opportunities to get together.

The South Australian Liberals have announced a strong new Shadow Cabinet and importantly, it includes people who truly understand our region here in Mount Gambier.

Under the leadership of Ashton Hurn MP, this team is focused on getting back into communities, listening, and delivering practical solutions.

For Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast, it’s great to see strong regional voices like Ben Hood MLC and Nicola Centofanti MLC playing key roles. These are people who are regularly on the ground in our regional communities, who understand our challenges, and who genuinely care about our regions future.

We are looking forward to seeing this team out across South Australia and continuing to engage and fight for regional communities like ours.

Ashton Hurn MP is fighting to ease the cost of living by calling for a cut to fuel taxes.
We already pay a significant amount of tax every time we fill up.
The government could reduce it today and provide us with immediate relief….
it’s time they did.
