Mount Isa is a vibrant and progressive city that has become the administrative, commercial, and industrial centre of North West Queensland. It covers an area of over 43,310 square kilometers (including the township of Camooweal), making it the second largest city in Australia to Kalgoolie-Boulder. The Mount Isa City Council operates tourism and entertainment facilities, supports local industry and

commerce, and provides for the needs of all residents and visitors alike. The region produces some of the county's best beef, and is known internationally as one of the worlds top 10 producers of copper, lead, silver, and zinc. Mount Isa is also home to the Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo (the largest rodeo in the Southern hemisphere), the award winning Buchanan Park Events Complex, the $4.25M Family Fun Park (including water park), and the annual Xstrata Mining Expo.

Thick smoke is affecting Mount Isa and surrounding areas. This is from a large fire burning near Lake Julius Road, Haslingden Station.

🚒Fire crews are currently on scene.
👉This fire is not under control.
👉This fire could burn for days.
👉Protect yourself from the impacts of smoke.

🤔What you should do:
•If the smoke is thick where you are, stay inside and close windows and doors.
•If you need medication to help you breathe keep it close.
•If you are worried about your health call your doctor or 13 HEALTH (13 432 584). If it is an emergency, call Triple Zero (000) now.
•If you are affected by the smoke you may need to leave the area.
•Check for warning updates often.
•Do not fly drones around the fire as they affect firefighting.

Interested bidders are encouraged to review the conditions of sale and property information prior to attending.

We're carrying out important upgrades to the town's water infrastructure, which means planned water shutdowns will be in place during the works.

If you're in the affected area, now's a good time to fill up the water bottles, kettle and pet bowls before each day's shutdown. 💧

The upgrades will help keep Camooweal's water network reliable for the future, and we appreciate everyone's patience while the work gets done.
