Thanks everyone for coming out and and supporting the campground in these financially difficult times, it was great to see so many familiar faces and a fair share of 1st timers, the kids easter rock hunt was a big hit again, thanks to you guys I am happily able to donate $790 to the RFDS from raffel ticket sales. An additional thanks to the young innisfail crew helping me out prior to and over the weekend i would not have been able to operate without them.

Hi Guys
I am currently experiencing a high volume of inquiries and am unable to respond to calls and notifications in a timely manner. To address some frequently asked questions: No booking is required, simply turn up. The 25-acre campground has ample space. The 35km dirt road from Mt Surprise has undergone maintenance grading and is in good condition. Please note that unregistered vehicles, including motorbikes, quads, buggies, e-bikes, and e-scooters, are not permitted on roads or in the fossicking area. Shooting and pig hunting are strictly prohibited, with no exceptions. Please bring drinking water, as only creek water is available on site. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the campground, provided they are kept on a leash and owners clean up after them. Generators may be used between 07:30 and 21:30, with a maximum continuous running time of 4 hours. There is no dump point on site; the nearest one is located in Mt Surprise. Fossicking licenses can be purchased on site or online. Two amenities blocks are available, including a disabled shower and toilet. Mobile phone coverage is not available on site, unless you have Starlink. Please note that cash is the only accepted payment method, as there is no EFTPOS system. A general reminder: this location is part of Mt Surprise Holdings Pty Ltd, a working cattle station. Hi Guys
Getting some sunny days so slashing and mowing what I can as it dries out, still a lot of swampy areas with standing water that I can't get the machines near.and areas where the feral pigs have dug up the ground Awaiting a delivery of decent fill so I can repair the leg breaking washouts around the camp. Aiming to open the Tuesday or Wednesday before Easter all depending on weather, washouts repairs and a deep clean of amenities.
