1 June is Smoke Alarm Action Day

Last year, nearly half the homes damaged or destroyed by fire in NSW did not have a working smoke alarm! Be smart and take part in Smoke Alarm Action Day, and test your smoke alarm works.

A working smoke alarm is your best early warning sign of a fire, giving you and your loved ones the chance to get out, stay out, and call Triple Zero (000).

This morning we were called to a truck fire at the bottom of Mount Victoria Pass. Together with RFS crews the fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries suffered by all involved. Credit to RFS for the images.

On Monday the crew of Fire & Rescue Mount Victoria helped to contain a diesel spill after a truck rolled on Bells Line of Road. Thankfully no one was injured and 600 litres of diesel was moved to safe storage for the truck to be recovered.
