🚨 EXTREME FIRE DANGER– TOTAL FIRE BAN 🚨

Today the Fire Danger Rating for our area is Extreme and a Total Fire Ban is in place.
This means fires can start and spread quickly – even the smallest ember can have big consequences.

đźš« A Total Fire Ban means no fires are permitted, including charcoal and solid fuel BBQs.

⚠️ Activities that produce sparks or flames in the open — like welding, grinding or gas cutting — must not be done without an exemption.

🧹Take time today to clear gutters, remove debris, and check your bush fire plan

🔥 Fire Danger Update – Tomorrow Sunday 21st December🔥

Tomorrow’s Fire Danger Rating is HIGH, and as a result all fire permits are suspended.

Due to the elevated fire conditions, Mt White Brigade will be on a pre-emptive strike team, ready to respond quickly to any incidents should they arise.

Now is also a good time to create or review your Bushfire Survival Plan. Having a plan in place helps you and your family know what to do if a fire threatens your area — it can take as little as 5 minutes to complete.

In the still hours before dawn, around 3am, Calga Mt White RFS crews launched by boat to reach a fire at Bar Point on the Hawkesbury River.

Working in tough terrain and limited access, our team was able to contain the fire and protect nearby properties.

A big thanks to our dedicated volunteers who always answer the call — day or night. 🙌
