It’s Rural Road Safety Month 💛 If you’re travelling on rural roads this August, remember they come with extra risks. Slow down, be patient and stay alert. We’d rather you arrive at your destination a few minutes later than not at all.

Constable Oliver visited St Joseph’s Primary School in Biloela as part of the Adopt-A-Cop program, chatting with students about why rules are important and how they help keep our community safe 👮Students had plenty of questions and enjoyed getting a closer look at the equipment Constable Oliver uses on the job.

Programs like Adopt-A-Cop are a great way to build positive relationships with youth, while helping them learn valuable safety lessons.

Deliberate dangerous driving, commonly referred to as hooning, includes a range of illegal driving behaviours, including burnouts, street racing and reckless manoeuvres that puts our community’s lives at risk.

Police are continuing to target known hotspots across the district. This isn't about targeting car enthusiasts, it's about targeting reckless, dangerous and criminal behaviour.

If you witness deliberate dangerous driving behaviour, report it to police. Every bit of information helps identify offenders and keeps them off our roads.
