🌈 SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN! 🎨

These school holidays, join Laila for a hands-on creative session where kids can explore nature, experiment with textures and turn everyday materials into something completely their own.

Using twigs, pebbles, bark and small pieces of wood, young artists will create textured artworks, imaginative trees, colourful landscapes and unique nature-inspired creations. 🌱🪵

It’s a chance to slow down, get creative and discover that inspiration can be found right under our feet!

✨ Kids will have the opportunity to:
🎨 Experiment with natural textures and materials
🌿 Explore their creativity through nature
🪵 Turn simple objects into imaginative artworks
💭 Let their ideas and imaginations take the lead

What actually happens in the mind when someone experiences mental ill-health? And what does recovery really look like beyond the headlines, hashtags and popular slogans?

Join counsellor John Cuturilo for an insightful and practical conversation exploring mental illness, recovery and wellbeing.

Drawing on his professional knowledge and lived experience, John will unpack:

💚 What a wonderful month of Sunday Sessions it has been!

Over the past few weekends, our community has come together to try something new, move their bodies and enjoy some time focused on health and wellbeing — with previous sessions including Pilates, Zumba, and Yoga🧘‍♀️💃🎨

🎨 This weekend, participants joined Fathima for a relaxing adults-only clay art class, creating their own beautiful wall plaques and adding meaningful words and affirmations to make each piece uniquely theirs. It was wonderful to see everyone getting creative and enjoying some mindful time together. 🤍

And we're not finished yet!

💪 This Sunday is our final session for August: Strength & Gentle Fitness with Liliana — and it's already fully booked! 🎉

A huge thank you to Access Health and Community for funding our Sunday Sessions and helping us provide these free opportunities for our community. 🙏💚

Join Smart Smiles Initiative for a FREE interactive session where you'll learn practical tips for maintaining good oral health, including:

The Minister toured the House and met with our staff, Committee members and volunteers, hearing about the important role Neighbourhood Houses play in bringing people together and supporting our local community. 🤝💚
