Murgon State Primary School has a clear and shared focus which is to offer all students the best education possible. We have high standards and expectations for all students, teachers and staff who collabo

ratively share in the belief that all students can learn and meet these high standards. Murgon State Primary School prides itself on having a safe, civil, healthy and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Murgon State Primary School students feel respected and connected with the staff and are engaged in Inquiry Based Learning. Instruction is personalized and designated learning environments increase student contact with teachers. Effective strong teamwork among all staff, across all grades and subject areas provides high levels of collaboration and communication. Everybody is involved and connected to each other, including parents and members of the community. At Murgon State Primary School, we share in the sense that all have a responsibility to educate students, not just teachers and staff in schools. Families, as well as businesses, social service agencies, and community colleges & universities, all play a vital role in this effort. As Principal my leadership is about cultivating a shared vision and building a strong leadership team. My Principalship is about building a successful school, a positive school, one that inspires aspiration and encourages a passion for learning.

Student Council members Xanthe and Anastasia are demonstrating the power of student voice through their fundraising initiative to purchase a new flagpole for our Aboriginal Flag.

To support their efforts, students are invited to wear their State of Origin colours and bring along a gold coin donation on Wednesday 17 June.
