🚨 Training Tuesdays at Murray Bridge SES! 🚨

Tuesday nights are training nights for our volunteers. Each week we spend a few hours building and testing our skills- whether that’s at our facility on Thomas St, out in the community, or even out on the river with our rescue boat.

Murray Bridge members train in a wide range of rescue capabilities, including heights rescue, water rescue, road crash rescue, and even large animal rescue just to name a few. With so many different skills to learn, no two training nights are ever the same!

We’d also like to give a big welcome to our newest members who have recently joined the Murray Bridge SES unit- great to have you on the team!! 👏

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering and giving back to your community, we’d love to hear from you. SES is always looking for new volunteers, and you might be surprised at the range of skills you can learn.

📩 Send us a message or come down and have a chat to find out more!

We now offer optional Wednesday night training with our friends over at Strathalbyn State Emergency Service 😊

Yesterday’s storm certainly kept us on our toes!

During and after the weather event, Murray Bridge SES responded to more than 60 requests for assistance in Murray Bridge and Mannum. From leaking roofs and flooding to personelle stuck in vehicles, it was a busy few hours for our volunteers.

To get through the workload, we threw everything we had at it and were backed up by some incredible support. A big THANKYOU to Murray Bridge CFS, including a strike team from Monarto CFS, Tailem Bend CFS and Mannum CFS, as well as Murray Bridge and Mount Barker MFS.

We also had fantastic assistance from Strathalbyn SES, Mount Barker SES, Sturt SES and Metro South SES, along with a Swiftwater Rescue Team. Seeing everyone come together so quickly shows just how strong our emergency services network really is.

With close to 70 personnel working side by side, coordinated by our Incident Management Team, we were able to respond quickly and support our community when it mattered most. We’re incredibly proud of the teamwork on display.

A huge shout out to Murray Bridge Pizza House. When we called at 7:30pm looking to feed a large group of wet and hungry volunteers, Nick didn’t hesitate- he made it happen. Community support like that does not go unnoticed!

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved and being part of something like this, now’s your chance. Come along to our Information Session on Tuesday night and see what SES volunteering is all about.

Recruitment Information night tomorrow night, 3/3/26, we'd love to see you there!
