🏈🏈Congrats to Olive and Rosie who represented MPS and the Riverina at the state touch carnival last week. Their team fought hard and finished 12th in the tournament with two wins and two draws! With many Year 5 players competing against older students, both girls showed great teamwork, sportsmanship and determination. The team made new friends and represented our school and region with pride. Well done girls!

Father’s Day afternoon at MPS! 💛💙

Our dads and other special people enjoyed pies, sausage rolls and a cold drink while spending a relaxed afternoon with their children. There was plenty of fun with our Where’s Wally scavenger hunt, Dads vs Kids tug-of-war, footy kicking and lots of time to connect and enjoy each other’s company.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so special. Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful MPS dads, grandads and special people! 💙

Last week, the MPS Blue debating team won their first knockout round in the Premier’s Debating Challenge, debating the topic ‘that parents should be paid a bonus when their children’s NAPLAN results improve.’ They made great points and showed strong teamwork. Next up, they’ll face Tumut Public School. Good luck, team!

What an amazing Book Week celebration! Despite the rain, our students dressed as favourite book characters and enjoyed a fun parade, creative activities, an Aboriginal rhythm circle and a sausage sizzle. A big thanks to Murrumburrah-Harden Flexible Care Services for joining us as Minions and to Harden Murrumburrah Men’s Shed for the popular lagerphones. Thanks also to our generous supporters and the Book Week committee for making it all possible. A fantastic day for the whole community! 📚🎉

RIVERINA RUGBY SUCCESS! 🏆

A huge congratulations to Holly, Josie and Pippa, who have spent the past three days in Kiama proudly representing MPS at the Riverina Girls Rugby 7s Championships!

The girls played an incredible 9 games, winning 5 and finished as winners of the 2nd Division. They were awarded both the Conveners Shield and the Country Crown! A special shoutout to Pippa, who was also selected as team captain! 🏆👏

What a fantastic achievement and an amazing experience for our girls. We are so proud of the way you represented MPS, both on and off the field! 💙💛

Last week, 6C delivered a fantastic assembly, reflecting on their journey at MPS from Kindergarten through to Year 6. Their story was inspiring and as they reminded us, the rest is still unwritten. 📖😊

Congratulations 6C and well done to all award recipients! 💫💫

Huge thanks to our staff, Murrumburrah High and partner schools for making the day such a success. We can’t wait for the final transition day in Week 8!

Last Tuesday, our Stage 2 students headed to Roberts Park to take part in the 2026 Trent Barrett Shield.

With seven teams competing across tackle rugby league and league tag, MPS was well represented. Students enjoyed a fantastic day in the sunshine while displaying great teamwork and our school values.

A big thank you to Country Rugby League, the officials and our students for making it such a wonderful day! 🏉☀️
