🚒 More big news today for Musk Fire Brigade with the 1st General Firefighter Course ever held at Musk FB!!

🔥 We had 4 more members signed off today, well done to Anton, Ash, Jurgen & Lila. Amazing job there guys!!
Also well done goes to Belinda & Niko from Leonards Hill Fire Brigade and Gerard from Glen Park Fire Brigade!!

🙏 A massive thank you goes to our instructors Andy and all the way from Horsham, Emma, for getting these 7 new fully qualified firefighters through today’s course

🙏 Also thanks to our mates at Daylesford Fire Brigade for letting borrow Daylesford Tanker 2 for the day to be stepped up while our truck was offline, always make sure there’s coverage for our area when this happens.

Well done crew!! Musk certainly put on the best weather possible earlier in the day but we got there! 😅

🚨Just a heads up for the Daylesford Community in and around Smith St!!

The Glenlyon Group of Fire Brigade will be doing a winter group training exercise at Daylesford College this Sunday from 9am. You will see most of the fire trucks from the group in that area Sunday morning. Lights and sirens will NOT be used unless we are responding to a real emergency.

🔥Well months of planning paid off last night with another very successful Bullarto Bush Dance!! 💃

🙏We’d like thank everyone who came along and had a blast. Special thanks to Barbed Wire Canoe and Cat & Clint as The Wombat Ramblers for the amazing folk music and of course our MC, Bruce Rolfe for calling and showing everyone how to dance.

🎗️The support we received from the community was incredibly humbling!! Certainly fuelled the momentum for us to keep up the fundraising efforts for our 2nd Tanker.

🚒 Another big thanks also has to go to Hepburn Fire Brigade for letting show off their Tanker 2, certainly made it easier to explain what type of truck we are wanting to add to our fleet. Also too, thanks Trentham Fire Brigade for the Ultra Light from Lyonville for traffic control and to show off that awesome little appliance.

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.
