Last night, members from Edinglassie Brigade responded to a train fire on Hebden Road, Ravensworth, alongside crews from Whittingham Rural Fire Brigade, Darlington Rural Fire Brigade, NSW RFS Hunter Valley Operational Support Brigade and Fire & Rescue NSW station 444 Singleton.

Firefighters worked together to quickly contain and extinguish the fire, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area and preventing further spread.

A great effort by all involved, with strong teamwork and coordination across multiple brigades.

Over the past few nights our brigade has responded to several vehicle fires in our area, most of which seem to have a habit of “spontaneously combusting” around midnight when no one is around. 🚒🔥

While vehicle fires might seem isolated, they can spread quickly and have the potential to ignite nearby grass and bushland.

If you see smoke or flames coming from a vehicle, keep a safe distance and call 000 immediately. We also encourage everyone to lock your vehicles and report any suspicious activity to police.

Thank you to the women in our brigade and across the RFS for everything you do.

Please take extra care, report any fires immediately, and help us keep everyone safe.
