With construction materials arriving over the weekend, contractors will now be erecting security fencing around the southern section of the playground on Friday 19th June.
Please use caution in the playground during this time.

The Shire of Chapman Valley will be installing a new shade structure over the southern section of the playground at Bill Hemsley Park, White Peak.⁣

Construction materials may be delivered to site from Friday 19 June and this section of the playground will be fenced off and unavailable for use while works are underway. ⁣Works are scheduled to occur during the week of Monday 22–25 June (weather and contractor conditions permitting).⁣

Other areas of Bill Hemsley Park, including the remaining playground equipment and grassed areas, will remain open to the public.⁣ We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during these works and look forward to providing improved shaded play areas for families to enjoy.⁣

Shire of Chapman Valley will be undertaking maintenance works on the Bridle Trails in the Parkfalls Estate from Monday 11th May 2026.⁣

Works will include:⁣
◾Removing excess sand from the northern end of the trail in the Wittenoom Circle loop (from Copperhill Junction to Merino Fairway)⁣
◾Carting and levelling gravel along the central part of the trail⁣

⚠️ 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:⁣
Heavy machinery will be operating in this area during the works. We ask all trail users, residents, and motorists to:⁣
◾Obey speed restrictions in the area⁣
◾Exercise caution around work zones⁣
◾Follow all signage and directions from workers⁣

Once completed, the Shire will gauge how successful the trial is before committing to future works. This will hopefully allow greater access to Bill Hemsley Park & Community Centre.⁣

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve this community facility.⁣ For any enquiries, please contact the Shire Office.⁣

𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬⁣

The Shire of Chapman Valley wishes to advise Corella culling will be taking place in Nabawa over the next few weeks (until Mid-May) to continue management of Corella numbers. Shire staff will conduct the cull outside of school hours and will advise Northampton Police of these times.⁣

Staff are required to recover all euthanised Corellas when culled, but there will be occasions where a Corella may fall onto a resident’s properties or in an area inaccessible or out of sight of the contractor.⁣

Culls of this nature are required to reduce the number of Corellas which will in turn result in less community complaints and reduced infrastructure and flora damage, however the numbers need to be managed on an ongoing basis.⁣

The Shire of Chapman Valley thanks for you for your understanding during this time.⁣
