Nambour Aquatic Centre is pleased to host Belgravia Academy on 4th and 5th of September to deliver the nationally recognised Pool Lifeguard Certification course.

Open to aspiring lifeguards, current aquatic industry staff and community members, this course provides the skills and knowledge required to supervise visitor safety, perform water rescues and respond to aquatic emergencies. Once completed, students will gain practical experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

This course includes:

Water rescue techniques
Complex rescue scenarios
First aid and emergency response
Oxygen resuscitation in an aquatic environment
The course includes online learning to be completed prior to the face-to-face training, which will be delivered by one of Belgravia Academy’s qualified training specialists.

Course date: Friday 4th & Saturday 5th September. 9 am – 6 pm.

💙 Celebrating Brain Body Wellness 💙

We are incredibly proud that Brain Body Wellness was recently nominated for the QLD/NT Community Connection Award at the Belgravia Leisure Awards Night.

Delivered by Nambour Aquatic Centre in partnership with the Dementia Network Sunshine Coast, this unique program supports people living with Dementia, Parkinson's Disease and other neurological conditions through aqua exercise, social connection and community engagement.

Led by our amazing instructor Glen, the program has helped participants improve mobility, confidence and wellbeing while creating meaningful friendships and support networks for both participants and carers.

With growing attendance and an additional weekly session now added, Brain Body Wellness continues to demonstrate the power of inclusive, community-led programming.

A heartfelt thank you to our participants, carers, Glen and the Sunshine Coast Dementia Network. This nomination celebrates the connections, confidence and sense of belonging that continue to be built each week. 💙🏊‍♂️
