Congratulations to one of our year 7 OptiMINDS teams who competed on the weekend and scored 1st place surrounded by school’s who have been competing for decades.
These students had to deliver a 10 minute performance with a full script, props and a scientific device to meet a brief in just a few short weeks. They will be off to UQ in Brisbane next month to compete against schools from all over the state. We wish them good luck!

🚁 Building, Teamwork & Tiny Parts!

Our Year 10 students took on the challenge of building their own drones in a hands-on workshop! They were highly engaged throughout the day, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance.

While managing all those tiny components was certainly a challenge, the students stuck with it and were incredibly proud of what they achieved. It was fantastic to see their excitement when they finally saw their hard work come together!

A great day of learning, creating and building! 🚁👏

A big thank you to Damien from Skills Generation for facilitating the day.
