👷🏼AROUND THE COMMUNITY🦺

Bright and Early Sunday morning, two of our members made their way to Oran Park to represent Camden SES at The Hindu Volunteer Association’s (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh) annual festival, Raksha Bandhan

This festival is to acknowledge protectors in and round the community, their version of the tradition is to thank Emergency Services (SES, Fire & Rescue, Police) who serve and protect the community with courage and dedication.

Camden SES thanks the members of the Hindu Volunteer Association (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh) for their invitation and acknowledgement of our services.

👷🏼TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING🪜

Rain, Hail or shine, our members are always prepared for worst case scenario.

Tonight, some of our members who are in the process of their Storm training have been given a first look into the types of weather they could be up against when they go out and assist the community during major storm events.

Our number one mission here at Camden SES is to make sure all of our members are safe and well taken care of during their training and when they’re out on jobs.

🦺WELLINGTON WOMBATS🧗‍♂️

3 members of Camden SES were lucky enough to spend last weekend in Wellington Caves as apart of the annual Wellington Wombats training exercise.

Over 2 days, our members and 100 more from across NSW, climbed, crawled and descended through the caves, practicing rope systems, causality management and rescue techniques in dark, tight, unfamiliar spaces.

Training in these areas might seem strange for an Emergency Service that mainly handles water based rescue, however these cave systems offer our members the opportunity to practice vertical rescue and build capability in realistic rescue situations.

Our unit is running an information night where you’ll meet some of our members, hear some of the things that Camden handles during major Flood and Storm events and learn about the process of becoming a member here at Camden SES.

This morning, some members of Camden SES were treated to an amazing cuppa and chat with the men of Narellan Mens Shed

This group welcomed us with open arms, and allowed us to chat with them about:

- The ins and outs of Camden SES
- How to stay safe during Floods and Storms
- The types of things we do as members to keep the general public safe and ourselves safe

🦺SES IN ACTION👷🏼

⛈️ Camden SES prides itself in being able to speak to and teach people of all ages about how to be safe during Storms, Floods and Tsunamis.

🚒 This morning, some of our members had the chance to speak to the students at Macarthur Early Learning.

🧡 Thank you to the wonderful teachers and staff for having us and allowing us to share our knowledge with the children.
