This morning saw our students and their dads come together to enjoy breakfast and games in the beautiful morning sunshine. It was fantastic to see lots of granddads too!
Bacon and egg rolls were enjoyed, as well as lots of fun with games and sports.
Shout out to our P & C who organised the breakfast for everyone!

Huge thanks to our community for their support of our SRC Charity drive for Dog Rescue Newcastle! We were blown away by the donations! Well done! Thanks to our SRC and Ms Mitchell for organising the donations and delivering them to DRN.

Don't forget tomorrow is our SRC Out of Uniform Day for Dog Rescue Newcastle! Please wear blue & white and bring a donation for Dog Rescue like food, toys, bedding, collars etc. We are looking forward to a great day!

Year 6 visited Kotara High today to experience a ‘taste’ of high school life. They enjoyed lessons in maths, drama, PE and HSIE. The amazing collection of creatures within the fish tanks were the highlight, along with some tricky maths problems. 🐟 🐠 🧮

Check-in assessment for Years 3-6

Dear parents and carers,
From next week until the end of term, students in Years 3-6 will participate in the Check-in assessment.
The Check-in assessment is a NSW Department of Education online literacy and numeracy assessment available to support schools to assess and monitor student learning.
Students with disability may receive the same level of support during the assessment they would normally receive in the classroom.
All students complete a reading assessment and a numeracy assessment. Year 6 students will also complete a writing assessment.

*Students may wish to bring headphones or earbuds that plug into a computer to enable them to hear audio during the assessment.

Congratulations to Seb and Curtis who represented Hunter in the PSSA Rugby Championship this week in Mudgee. The team finished 8th out of 13 teams in the State and had a brilliant carnival! Well done!

Last day at camp part 2 Reel- some high flying adventurers and tired campers. What a great 3 days! Lots of resilience, responsibility and respect on show.
