🏃‍♀️🏅 Athletics Carnival 2026 🏅🏃‍♂️

Today we partnered with Waratah West Public School to host our 2026 Athletics Carnival.

By bringing two smaller schools together, we created more opportunities for students to compete, challenge themselves and connect with others. With larger age groups, students experienced stronger competition, more students qualified for Zone, and new friendships were formed along the way.

It was a fantastic day of participation, sportsmanship and school spirit. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the future!

A huge thank you to the PASS students from Callaghan College Waratah Campus who generously volunteered their time to support our Athletics Carnival today.

Their enthusiasm, leadership and willingness to help made a real difference throughout the day. By assisting with events, recording results and encouraging our students, they helped us offer a wider range of activities and create a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

It was especially wonderful to see some familiar faces among the group. Our students will one day make the transition to Callaghan College, and seeing former students return as confident, capable young people and positive role models was a powerful reminder of the journey ahead.

Partnerships like these strengthen the connections across our learning community and provide valuable opportunities for students of all ages to learn from one another.

Thank you for being such positive ambassadors for your school and for helping make today a great success!

Meet our Student Learning Support Officers (SLSOs)— Mrs Thompson, Mrs Hugo, Julieanne, Alex and Mr Craig, Kyesha and Carly— they are the steady presence behind so many moments of learning and belonging.

They provide extra support and extension, step in quietly when things are tough, and celebrate the small wins that matter most.

Support here isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s meeting students where they are, in the way they need, in the moment they need it.

You’ll find them reading, at Breakfast Club, building projects, playing, and connecting — always showing up for our students.

There’s only one thing better than a warm canteen lunch on a cold day... being a canteen volunteer and enjoying our students’ amazing artwork while supporting our wonderful school community.
