Changeover - Sunday 21 June 2026 … a celebration of the club’s achievements of the last year … Alyn handed over the club presidency to Phil ; many supporters and friends were acknowledged ; and a a special presentation of a Paul Harris Fellowship to Liam - congratulations Liam . The happy surprise of the day was the presentation of a Premier’s Award to Phil by Sonia Hornery MP. - congratulations Phil on the prestigious award and incoming as club leader .

Congratulations to all members , honorary members and club supporters for your commitment to Rotary values and thanks to all who attended and joined us in our celebration of service to the community .

Looking forward to the Rotary year 2026-2027 - with the goal of ‘creating a lasting impact.’

It was my absolute pleasure to present Glenn with a Community Recognition Statement acknowledging his outstanding contributions to the Rotary Club of Wallsend-Maryland since June 2021.

Glenn has taken on the roles of Club Treasurer and Child Protection Officer, as well as being involved in the Science and Engineering Challenge - in addition to being a supporter of Mums' Cottage in Holmesville.

Such a great morning - meeting Principal Shahn Radcliffe from Plattsburg Public School and hearing about the excellent teaching and learning initiatives at the school. We are committed to supporting local schools and this morning we were delighted to donate 20 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to Plattsburgh Public School

The Rotary Club of Wallsend-Maryland meets every Tuesday morning 7.15am for breakfast at Diggers Wallsend . All welcome.

Notice for those who usually see us at the Sunday markets at Wickham Park (Islington Market - NSW, Australia) - the markets have been cancelled this month - May 2026 , because of wet weather and the condition of the grounds.
