A successful Lions Day with the United Nations in New York left Lions and Leos inspired and energized. The event included a discussion moderated by Past District Governor Jackie Williams, Lions Representative to UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, with Mr. Werner Obermeyer, Director of World Health Organization (WHO) Office at UN NY; PID Gary Brown, Lions Representative to UNICEF; and Leo-Lion Ishaan Sudan, Leo Representative to UN Environment Programme.
The focus was The Future of Service, exploring unique perspectives on technology, human connection, and how Lions, Leos and the UN are using both to change the world together.

Enabling caregivers to take advantage of much-needed respite is one of the missions of Camp Freedom. The camp is run by Lions and designed to serve vulnerable and underserved children, such as children with parents or guardians suffering from addiction. Providing a week of rest for foster parents and family members, while giving children the opportunity to make meaningful connections at camp, can have a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of families.
