We really enjoyed partnering with one of our member councils, Bay Regional Council for a Supplier Lunch & Learn event on procurement and Local Buy.

Last week’s forum gave businesses in the Moreton Bay region the opportunity to learn about the procurement policies of MBRC and the Local Buy pathway that can connect them to Local Government work not only with MBRC but also across Queensland.

We also enjoyed a case study from a current Local Buy Supplier talking to the why, the opportunity and the lived experience. A huge thank you to Nielson for sharing her supplier story and Marks from the Moreton Bay Regional Economic Development for hosting the event.

We do enjoy connecting with our member councils. This week, our Senior Account Manager Kathryn Dalley is on the road with Bridie MacDonald, VendorPanel’s Customer Success Manager, visiting all 7 RAPAD Councils to support and maximise the operational and strategic opportunities from councils’ Nex Gen Procurement System.

Starting with Longreach Regional Council, their travels will take them to Winton Shire Council, Boulia Shire Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Barcoo Shire Council, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council and Barcaldine Regional Council with tailored discussions and training to support their executive, buyer, and supplier stakeholders.

Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the team at Nex Gen.

After a huge year and many milestones we are ready to take a well-deserved break from the 24th of December to the 4th of January. But just because we're taking some time out, it doesn't mean we’re not available to support you with your procurement needs! ⁠

We will still be supporting you through all of our usual digital platforms, you can still:

• Check out our upcoming events, get in contact or read the latest articles via the nexgenprocurement.com.au website.
• Continue to take advantage of the Nex Gen Procurement Platform.
• Shoot us a message through the Nex Gen Social Media Accounts.

And remember, Local Buy Arrangements will remain open! You will still be able to submit RFX’s, check on the status of your requests, do all the usual system things, and keep informed of any new opportunities that hit the market. Although, it could be wise to check the timing of requests to suppliers, as they will be needing a break too.

Stay safe with your family and friends, and recharge to be ready for 2023.
