✅ Turning everyday trash into treasure.

💚 Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour explains how his council is recycling to reduce what is going to landfill.

Getting to the Bunya Mountains should be part of the adventure - not the obstacle. 🌲🚗

Just a three-hour drive from Brisbane, the final stretch climbs steep, narrow and winding roads toward one of Queensland’s most remarkable natural places.

Support through the State Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) has helped seal roads like these - including a key section of road that was once gravel and is now bitumen.

That upgrade has been fantastic for tourism and economic development. With costs rising, councils are calling for increased investment in TIDS to keep delivering results like this.

North Burnett Regional Council’s road network is one of the largest in Queensland 🚧

With nearly 5,000 kilometres of roadway spread across an area half the size of Costa Rica, maintaining these vital connections is no small task.

That’s why programs like the State Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) make such a difference - helping councils keep communities safe, connected and moving.

Ahead of this month's State Budget, councils are calling for stronger investment in this critical program.

The services you rely on every day start with your local council.

But without the right funding, it’s getting harder to keep up — especially for roads, water and waste.

We’re calling on the State Government to boost funding in every day services critical to the lives of Queenslanders in the State Budget.
