That Autumn breeze has us in the most cozy mood - pack up the summer gear, we’re ready for slow, easy nights in. Let’s make it happen this month with MOVIE NIGHT.

Our resident movie buff ELI has curated a selection of movies for us to vote from on the night to watch, including:

Wait. maybe we’ll leave it a surprise? Ok we’re leaving it a surprise lol.

WE WILL BRING: Tea and soft drink, popcorn, other small snacks (please bring your dietaries).

PLEASE BRING: Your comfy things - whether a cushion, camp chair, blanket, oodie, uggs etc. You are more than welcome to bring along additional food to share (this is an alcohol-free event).

This event is indoors at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre - there’ll be an entry code to access the building on the day. This venue is wheelchair accessible.

All aged 18+ welcome.

Happy Mardi Gras season!! And as Hannah Gatsby once said “where do the quiet g**s go?”

Regardless of whether you love a party or not, we have the perfect low spoons, low-cost, mid-Mardi Gras Sunday planned that supports local talent - wanna join us??

We’ll start with low-pressure brunch at the local community garden and function space CAMPERDOWN COMMONS. A hidden gem right in the city. Check it out here

From there, we recommend checking out the FREE exhibit of 30+ artists ***rart right next door at Chrissie Cotter during their sensory friendly hours (until 1pm) .

After that, why not head over to the Zine Fair at Erskineville Town Hall (until 3pm) feat. the work of over 20 q***r and disabled artists??🔥🔥🔥

**🌈🌊 BEACH GAY OUT - Clovelly 🌊🌈**

New years, new q***rs!!
You’ve survived 2025 and are now leaping forth into a fresh start. Let’s do it together with some gentle affirmations to guide us amongst the beautiful sea breeze.

Ya’ll have voted to return to the stunning Clovelly beach, which treated us so well in the past. If you haven’t been, it’s a protected bay with gentle waves and shallow spots appropriate for new swimmers, as well as a pool. It’s also great for snorkelling! Don’t worry if you don’t love swimming - many of us stay on the shore, too.

**BRING** your beach towel, swimwear, water bottle - and a journal if you use one! 📒🌞

For this event, we’ll be providing light snacks and soft drinks, PLUS some pens and paper in case you would like to write yourself some kind words for 2026 (optional) . You are more than welcome to bring along additional food and drink to share (this is an alcohol-free event).

**Accessibility notes:** A ramp on the northern side of the beach provides disabled access directly to the water (no sand!!!). Beach wheelchairs are available to borrow from the Lifeguard station. For people who prefer an ocean pool, there is one with newly improved accessible stairs and handrails. Accessible toilet with grab rails.

All aged 18+ welcome.

Join us to re-connect with nature in the sun and surf at beautiful Clovelly beach, a gorgeous and protected bay with gentle waves and shallow spots appropriate for all (even if you lack swimming confidence or ocean experience). It’s also great for snorkeling!

Q***r Social Club OCT 2025:
Halloween in the Park
31st October 6-8.30pm,
Sydney Park

🌈 🎃Halloween in the Park 👻🌈
No one does dress up better than us! Unleash your most ghoulish drag and costume ideas and come for a frolick around the hills and woods of Sydney Park with us.
We’ll pick a central area, and bring music and drinks - you just bring your snacks for the evening (and your freakiest lewks!)

6-8:30pm - we’ll be in some spooky part of the park (exact location shared on the evening)
8:30pm onwards - met people you like? Take a crew and head off trick-or-treating, or continue the party after dark!

All aged 18+ welcome.

Sydney park has accessible bathrooms and multiple car parks. It has little lighting once it gets dark, however it’s always busy. There is likely to be many party groups around the park - we’ll have our big signage on display.

*Note that our wet weather contingency is the nearby Botany View Hotel, a ten minute walk on King Street.

✏️🤔QUEER TRIVIA - V2!🤔✏️
The highly anticipated TRIVIA V2 is here!
• The questions will oscillate wildly from easy to awful!
• Hassi and Alice will remain criminally un-serious!
• Josh and Ricky will be ruthlessly ranking scores at the speed of light!
That’s right, QSC Trivia is back after its infamous inception last year.
Bring those curious q***r brains back together as your team works through several rounds of themed questions, and image + music prompts (And yes, there will be another diabolical musical round).
Featuring our Host’s with the Most Hassi and Alice 👑, and question writers / score collectors Ricky and Josh 🎯. Teams will be allocated on the evening.
We will be accepting cash donations to keep running our events if you have capacity to do so.

Q***r Social Club AUG 2025
🎉🎂2nd BIRTHGAY! 🎂🎉
Can you believe it’s now been TWO YEARS since Q***r Social Club launched? That means a whopping 24 EVENTS since Aug 2023😱!
QSC has brought so many people together - thank you for being a part of it, and making it the welcoming, joyous space it’s become. Please come and celebrate with us!!!
Last year we went wild with the party of our childhood dreams (that game of Musical chairs went hard). So ONCE MORE there will be a piñata, cake, pass the parcel etc etc
BRING a snack to share with the group, and your camp chair / cushion.
We will bring party games, music, drinks, gazebo, and floor mats.
**OPTIONAL: Birthday dress-up (**zero pressure though) Cash Donations are also welcome if people have capacity to do so. 
This event is outdoors at Camperdown Memorial Park - look for the white marquee and flags. All-gender public bathrooms are available at the park, however they can be in varying states of cleanliness - be prepared!

Have we got a perfect winter arvo for you!
It’s been ages since we got together and made stuff, and this month we have a stellar line up of creatives to kickstart your projects.

* Our collaborator has your clothes sorted as resident mending, repairs and upcycling expert
* There’ll be a zine station by AND
* Metalworking to make and repair your many chains by the wonderful

It will be a choose-your-own DIY adventure!

**BRING** your craft bits and bobs, or project you’ve already started, textiles or outfit pieces you’d like to fix or bejazzle . We’ll have glue, sequins, sewing machine and other tools 🎨✨

Theres also no pressure to craft if you just want to chill with friends 🙂

This event is at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre - there’ll be greeter to help you access the building on the day.

*Accessibility notes: This event is indoors with an optional outdoor space. It’s ground floor with ramp access and the building has an accessible bathroom. The main room can get loud if youre sensitive to reverberating noise. There will be a quiet room if you need a break.
