Each term we have a local primary school students visit for LLP Day. Our students teach a small group of the primarys something they have learnt about over the term. We saw lessons about Collaboration, Environments and even Respectful Relationships. A huge success and many smiles all round from both our buddies and Peer Mentors.

Every Saturday afternoon, students head over to 'Spirit Spot' and find their alone space to read, reflect and sit quiet in nature. This allows students to stop, calm and decompress from a full week before heading into the next.

Voice for Wildlife is a four‑day program, from 21–24 September, where participants will:

- Go behind the scenes at Melbourne Zoo, RSPCA Burwood and Parliament of Victoria
- Learn how animal welfare and behaviour change campaigns protect wildlife
- Work with experts and other young advocates to design their own conservation campaign
- Build skills in leadership, advocacy and community engagement.

Merri and Moyjil enjoyed a day out on Mt Mount Noorat helping with Community Service. What a great bunch of young leaders.

🎉A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the students of the School for Student Leadership Gnurad Gundidj Campus for your all your hard work today. The students worked tirelessly in Deadman’s Gully, the Boomerang and Above the Walking track areas removing and relocating tree guards in preparation for our annual planting day on Sunday 30th August. (Go the Green Ninjas 🥷😉)

Yaloak has returned a little wet around the edges, however full of pride for completing their first 3 day expedition. Hiking the Great Ocean Walk, staying in tents and enjoying the views was all part of the days.

Tarnpirr have returned from Expo. 3 days and 2 nights along the Great Ocean Walk. From flooding rains to sunny skies, this crew saw it all. Even a sneaky river cross by vehicle. They have returned tired and proud!

Its been a jam packed week 2, with more bridge building, expo skills, mountain biking and a trip to the 12 Apostles. The have learnt about local indigenous culture at Tower Hill with Brett Clarke and begun the rounds of Community Sport with a game of Speedaway. Students are learning about identity, navigating learning strategies and writing about their highlights in Sway. So many things, so few photos😉

Term 2 Pastie Jozi's Fijian Scones have had the lip smacking approval of the community this term! They will be a regular feature in our menu along with pastie Jaydens Penne Pasta!

Yaloak has completed their first week! and what a busy week it has been. Getting to know each other, duties, Zack & Cameron being student leader. Every day is a new challenge, lesson or friend to make.
