Today, Friday 5 June 2026, we honour First Officer John Blake, aged 57, from Clear Mountain Rural Fire Brigade, as family, friends and fellow firefighters gather to farewell him at the Samford Farmers Hall, 12:30 pm.

John served with quiet strength, integrity and deep care for others. He stood by his crew, served his community with pride, and earned the respect of all who knew him.

On behalf of Landsborough Rural Fire Brigade, we extend our sincere condolences to Kerri, the Blake family, and all members of Clear Mountain Rural Fire Brigade.

Rest easy, John. Your service will be remembered.

Santa Run dun!! Most of our area visited and 35kgs of lollies flung out the truck window. If we didn't get to your street, very sorry but it rained during our 12 noon route and poured from about 4pm onwards. Brigade working hours this Christmas Holiday:-

Yandina North Arm fire brigade is doing their annual Christmas run.
Keep an ear out for our truck playing Christmas music and our flashing lights.

When: 24th December 2025

We will be doing 2 runs. First run around 12pm and second run at 3.30pm.

The second run is starting at 3.30 pm, we will be travelling down parts of the following street, including most off shoot streets. In no particular order;
