The “x-wing” facade is a bold architectural statement, but the technical magic happens after dark. Our team managed the supply and commissioning of a sophisticated control suite to ensure every lumen works in perfect sync with the building’s complex geometry.

It’s a great example of how precise commissioning allows a hotel to shift from a structural landmark by day to a vibrant, dynamic icon at night!

In the spirit of our Masterclass next week at Design Inn Symposium, we’re looking back at our work on the W Hotel in Brisbane.

Working alongside client Appselec, we managed the supply and commissioning of a powerhouse control suite, integrating Signify Dynalite, Color Kinetics, and Pharos Architectural Controls Ltd across the hotel’s public realm and facade. It’s a perfect example of how seamless technical precision behind the scenes creates that signature luxury guest experience.

What does it take to deliver vibrant, durable lighting in a coastal environment?

Bringing Port Coogee Marina to life for community celebrations year-round, we commissioned a scheme to balance atmosphere with resilience. As the Australian SGM Lighting ApS System Design and Commissioning Partner, bluebottle delivered festive architectural lighting for the City of Cockburn, using POI-50 Graze RGBW luminaires to achieve precise linear grazing and rich, saturated colour, all engineered for demanding conditions.

Paired with Casambi control, the result is a flexible, high-impact installation while ensuring long-term reliability for the civic precinct.
