North Star Public School

North Star Public School North Star Public School is a primary school for Kindergarten-Year 6 located in the small country community of North Star in North West NSW. Mr C.

On Wednesday 22 April 1942 the Minister for Education, the Hon. Clive Evatt visited North Star to open the new school. Four years earlier a subsidised school was started in the home of the late Mr and Mrs John Broshier with four children. In 1939 the school was transferred to North Star Hall with nine children. With an increase to thirty children, the Department of Education approved the erection

of a building in 1941. Sutton was the successful tenderer and a fine building was erected at a cost of ₤600. The school was orginally known as the North Star Provisional School from 1939-1955 and then as the North Star Public School from 1955 to the present.
