YEAR IN REVIEW 2024
As the year comes to a close, let's take a look at our top 5 stories from 2024:

5 - House fire at Guildford | Pumper 16 were called to a third alarm house fire, along with many other crews. Reports of black smoke coming from a unit block were called in around 2:45pm and operations were completed by that evening 🏠🔥

4 - Open Day | 11th of May was Open Day! We had a blast showing our Community our Station, Fire Truck and equipment. The littlest guests show the greatest appreciation 👩‍🚒🚒

3 - Commissioner ride along | We were extremely lucky and privileged to have our Commissioner, Jeremy Fewtrell join for the day. The smiles say it all 😁

2 - A night of Car accidents | Concord Fire Fighters attended multiple car accidents one wet and rainy night. Luckily no one was injured. Only casualties were the traffic lights that got hit and the cars involved 💥🫣

1 - New Member to our Team | We welcomed Matt to our station on A platoon. We hope Concord has been a great station and area to begin your career as a Professional Fire Fighter 👩‍🚒

Our firefighters are currently at a third alarm house fire at Guildford, along with many other crews. Marian street is currently closed due to firefighting operations, please avoid this area if you can.

I’ve spent the afternoon with members of Station 016 Concord. It’s always a pleasure to catch up and talk all things FRNSW around the hallowed mess room table. We attended a few calls, one alarm with Station 030 Lidcombe and one pile of leaves. The crew were very open and inviting, for which I’m grateful.

Last night our firefighters attended two separate car accidents in the Concord/Strathfield area. In one, the traffic lights fell victim to a car, and the other one had two cars involved. Luckily, there were no serious injuries this time.

With the wet weather forecast to last for another couple of days, please pay extra attention while driving, especially at night!
