SERGEANTS PROMOTION COURSE GRADUATES ⭐️

Congratulations to the seven 206 Army Cadet Unit corporals that undertook the Leadership and Instruction Course to qualify for promotion to Cadet Sergeant and to take up new roles at the Unit.

The week long course, held in the school holidays, at Lone Pine Barracks Singleton, continues to develop the cadets’ leadership skills and provides them with the knowledge and skills to be a Platoon Sergeant.

ACHIEVEMENT AT CACTC 2026

Congratulations to CDTCPL Orlando Walker from 206 Army Cadet Unit on his outstanding achievement as a member of the NSW Brigade Team at the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge (CACTC) 2026.

Orlando's dedication, teamwork, and commitment throughout the competition are a credit to himself, our unit, and the Australian Army Cadets - New South Wales Brigade.

This afternoon, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart AO DSC handed command of the Australian Army to Lieutenant General Susan Coyle AM CSC DSM. At the same time, Warrant Officer Kim Felmingham NSC OAM transitioned responsibility as Regimental Sergeant Major of the Army to Warrant Officer Brad Doyle OAM.

As the tenure of the 41st Chief of the Australian Army, Lieutenant General Stuart, and the 12th Regimental Sergeant Major of the Australian Army, Warrant Officer Felmingham concludes, we recognise that the Army of 2026 is a more prepared, more lethal and more professional force—better positioned for the future because of the strength of its people and the continuity of its leadership.

Together, they have helped guide Army through a period of significant transformation, strengthening the institution they inherited and ensuring it is ready to meet the challenges of the future.

The work of transforming Army will carry forward under the leadership of the 42nd Chief of the Australian Army, Lieutenant General Coyle, and the 13th Regimental Sergeant Major of the Australian Army, Warrant Officer Doyle with the same clarity of purpose: to optimise Army to fight and win in the littoral, build long-range strike capabilities, and remain experts in winning the close fight on land.

Today marks not only a change of leadership, but the continuation of an enduring stewardship in service of the nation.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP COURSE

Good luck to our three 206 Army Cadet Unit Sergeants as they undertake the Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Officer (CWC) Leadership and Instruction Course this week.

The course, taking place at Lone Pine Barracks in Singleton, is the most senior promotion course in the Australian Army Cadets and takes dedication, leadership and discipline to complete and pass.

We wish them well in their training and assessments and look forward to welcoming them back to the Unit next term.

As part of the Graduation Parade for our 3 Platoon recruits, two cadets were recognised for their outstanding effort, commitment, and results throughout their Recruit (Level 1A and 1B) Training.

These awards were presented by the State MP for Lane Cove and former Army Officer, Anthony Roberts.

GRADUATION PARADE 🇦🇺

Congratulations to our 3 Platoon recruits on successfully completing six months of training and graduating at a ceremonial parade in front of their families, instructors, staff, and distinguished guests.

A special thank you to the Hon Anthony Roberts MP, State Member for Lane Cove and former Army Officer, for attending as the Reviewing Officer for the parade. We are incredibly grateful for his ongoing support of 206 Army Cadet Unit and his strong advocacy for the Australian Army Cadets program nationally.

With their recruit training now complete, these future young leaders proudly assume the rank of Cadet and will progress to 2 Platoon next term to begin their Intermediate (Level 2) Cadet training.
