Big news for North Sydney Council.

We’ve taken out the Innovative Leadership Award at the 2026 NSW Local Government Excellence Awards for our Empowered People, Informed Decisions project.

This project improved how decisions are made across the organisation and helped deliver more efficient, customer-focused services for the North Sydney community.

A huge effort by teams across Council. Well done to everyone involved!

Locals are going the extra mile to recycle soft plastics, textiles, batteries and e-waste — helping our community become one of Australia’s leaders in recycling.

More than 50,000 bags have been collected through ReSmart’s doorstep service, keeping valuable materials out of landfill.
