Avon Valley Arts Society Inc AVAS Inc promotes and fosters artists in the Avon Valley. Current exhibitions can be viewed at the Northam Visitor Centre.

We host the Fred Killick Award Exhibition, and the Northam Art Prize, as well as hold demonstrations and art classes.

Who has been out exploring the inaugural Bendigo Bank Avon Valley Arts Trail this weekend? 🎨✨

With one day down and two still to go, there's plenty of time to discover the incredible artists, studios and creative spaces that make our region so special.

A number of Avon Valley Arts Society members are participating in this year's trail, helping bring this exciting new event to life across the shires of Northam and Toodyay.

Studios are open throughout the remainder of the long weekend from 10am to 4pm.

🎨 With the close of the 2026 Killick Art Awards exhibition, we are proud to announce this year’s People’s Choice Award winner! 🎨

Voted by visitors throughout the exhibition, the 2026 People’s Choice Award goes to Lindsay Newland for her pastel work Fresh Fill 👏

Congratulations to Lindsay, and thank you to everyone who came through the exhibition, cast a vote, supported our artists, purchased artworks, volunteered their time, and helped make this year’s Killick such a wonderful celebration of our local creative community.

Thank you also to all of our exhibiting artists for sharing your work and helping fill the gallery with such a diverse and inspiring range of art.
