🏆💚 Double Celebration for Northam! 💚🏆

We are incredibly proud to announce that St John Academy Northam has been named Division of the Year at the St John WA 2026 Volunteer Awards, while our very own Natasha (Tash) Clements has been recognised as Country Volunteer of the Year.

Tash's award recognises more than 20 years of outstanding volunteer service and her pivotal role in establishing the Northam Academy during its inaugural year. Her leadership, professionalism and compassion continue to inspire volunteers and make a lasting impact across our community.

The Academy's Division of the Year award reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of all our members. A standout achievement was the delivery of the Blue Tree Project in partnership with Avon Community Services, a youth-led initiative promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma and encouraging important conversations about wellbeing.

Congratulations, Tash, and congratulations to every volunteer, youth member and supporter who has contributed to making Northam Academy such a remarkable success story. Your commitment to serving the community makes us all proud. 👏💚

✨ Stepping Back in Time at St John Academy Northam! 🚑

Future healthcare heroes in Northam have been on an incredible journey through time! ⏳💡 This semester, young members of the St John Academy dived into the fascinating history of first aid and ambulance response — discovering just how far life-saving care has come.

From exploring vintage first aid kits and training equipment to trying on historic St John uniforms, the experience came to life during a special showcase event at the Northam Sub Centre on June 30. 🩺👕 Families joined in to celebrate months of hands-on learning and discovery.

For these 12–17-year-olds, it’s more than just learning skills — it’s about becoming confident community leaders and future paramedics, nurses, and healthcare professionals. 🌟

With guidance from dedicated leaders who have decades of experience, Academy members are seeing firsthand how innovation, technology, and passion continue to shape emergency care — and imagining how they will be part of its future. 🚨❤️

The St John Academy is now welcoming applications for Term 3 in Northam and Wundowie — an incredible opportunity for young people to learn, connect and grow.

💛 Open to ages 12–17, the program supports participants to:
