Another day on the Gold Coast Hinterland fire for Rocky Point.

Today, Rocky Point deployed:

2 x Fire Appliances
4 x Firefighters
1 x Sector Commander
1 x PSO & Logistics Officer
1 x Incident Controller

We couldn’t be prouder of our volunteers who have stepped up once again to assist our Gold Coast community in their time of need.

Our crews certainly worked their socks off today, putting in a huge effort in challenging conditions and continuing to represent Rocky Point with professionalism, dedication and pride.

And we’re not done yet.

Our crews will continue working through tonight and into the early hours of the morning, supporting the ongoing firefighting effort and helping keep our community safe.

To every Rocky Point volunteer who has put their hand up, left their families and commitments behind and answered the call, thank you.

🔥 COOMERA FIRE

Tonight and tomorrow, crews from our brigade will be working alongside other emergency services on the current fire in Coomera.

We want to take a moment to thank our dedicated volunteers who are giving up their days, evenings, nights and time with their families to stand up and protect our local communities.

When the call comes, they step forward.

They do it in difficult conditions, often at short notice, and without asking for anything in return.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment, professionalism and dedication our volunteers continue to show.

❤️ Thank you to every one of our volunteers for being there when communities need you most.

💛 Yellow Ribbon Day 💛

Being a local brigade isn’t always easy. It comes with challenges, difficult calls, long nights, tough decisions and moments that stay with you long after the sirens stop.

But it also comes with something incredibly special — community.

Our members don’t just respond to emergencies. They turn up for their neighbours, their friends, their families and complete strangers when they need someone most.

In the best moments and the worst, our team stands together.

Behind every uniform is a person who has chosen to give their time, their energy and, at times, put themselves in difficult situations to protect the community they call home.

What makes us incredibly proud of this brigade is the unrelenting professionalism, compassion and genuine desire to do what is right for our community. No matter how challenging the situation becomes, our people continue to step up.

To every member of Rocky Point Rural Fire Brigade thank you. Thank you for the sacrifices that often go unseen, for looking after each other, and for continuing to show up when our community needs you.

And to our community we are here for you. In the good times, the bad times and everything in between.

This is more than a brigade. We are a team, we are neighbours, and we are part of this community.

❤️🚒 Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing Fire Dads in our RPRFB family!

Today we want to acknowledge the dads who give so much of their time to protecting and supporting our community.

Behind every volunteer firefighter is a family that makes sacrifices too. Early mornings, late-night call-outs, training nights, weekends away and those moments when Dad has to leave the family because someone in our community needs help.

These dads don’t just teach their kids about courage, resilience and helping others, they show them.

To all our Fire Dads, thank you for the countless hours you dedicate to our community and for the example you set for the next generation.

And to the families who support them, thank you too. ❤️

From all of us at Rocky Point Rural Fire Brigade, Happy Father’s Day! 👨‍🚒🔥

Congratulations Carina! 👏🚒

A huge congratulations to our 4th Officer, Carina Smith, on becoming a QFD Peer Support Officer.

Peer Support Officers provide confidential support to fellow firefighters and volunteers, offering a listening ear and helping connect members with further support when needed.

A fantastic achievement and a well-deserved appointment. We know Carina will be an incredible support to our members.

Congratulations Carina! We are very proud of you 💙🔥

🚒 Rocky Point 81 — First Big Adventure!

It’s off on its first big adventure! 🔥

Rocky Point 81 is heading to Bundaberg to assist with a large incident, deployed alongside one of our Safety Officers.

This is a proud moment for our brigade and a great example of what can be achieved when a community gets behind its local Fireys.

Rocky Point 81 wouldn’t be active today without the incredible support of our local community, local government and Rotary Club of Ormeau Pimpama.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this vehicle a reality.

Now it’s time to put Rocky Point 81 to work! 💪🚒🔥
