Looking for a new local spot to explore?

St Morris Reserve has had a refresh, creating a welcoming space for the whole community to enjoy. With a new playground, open grass areas, seating and landscaping, there’s plenty of room for kids to play, families to gather and everyone to enjoy the outdoors.

The upgraded reserve is also part of the Trinity Valley Stormwater Drainage Upgrade, helping improve stormwater management in the area while creating a great new community space.

Could your child’s artwork become part of our Christmas celebrations?

The Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition is back for its 20th year, giving local Kindergarten to Year 6 students the chance to put their creativity on display and create an original Christmas artwork.

Whether they imagine a traditional Christmas, an Aussie summer, a magical festive adventure or something entirely their own, we want to see what Christmas looks like through their eyes!

There are prizes for first, second and third place in each year level, plus an Overall Winner. Winning artworks will be featured on the Mayor’s official Christmas cards, with the Overall Winner also appearing on the cover of the December edition of Look East.

Entries close at 5pm on Monday 21 September.

Community Funding Program is now open!

This program provides funding of up to $5,000 per project across seven categories: Community Development, Environment, Events, Sports & Recreation, Artistic & Cultural Programs, Artistic Development and Public Art.

These grants support new initiatives that bring people together, foster inclusion and strengthen community pride. From local events and creative programs to sustainability projects and opportunities for artists, your project could make a real difference in the community.

Last year, a $2,845 Community Grant helped Linde Community Garden complete the final stage of replacing the timber edging around its 65 raised garden beds with a durable, sustainable alternative made from recycled plastic and sawdust fines.

This is just one example of how Community Funding can help local projects grow and make a lasting difference.

Applications close Tuesday 13 October.

Visit our website for more information and to apply. https://www.npsp.sa.gov.au/our_community/awards-and-grants/community_funding_program_grants
